Absolute Zero, 0 K, is the lowest possible temperature, equal to -273 C. At this temperature, the atoms and molecules are moving (oscillating, vibrating) as slowly as they possibly can. Note that even at absolute zero, the vibrations or oscillations do not stop entirely. The freezing point of water is 32 F, 0 C and 273 K (please note: in my email to some of you I corrected your CORRECT answer here with an INCORRECT one! 273 K for the fp of water on the Kelvin scale is CORRECT!) All of you (who responded) to the question about classifying the metals properly identified the ELEMENTS. However, most of you did not identify brass, steel and bronze as HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURES. That is what they are.

Shapes of Molecules: Methane (CH4) is tetrahedral; ammonia (NH3) is pyramidal; acetylene (C2H2) is linear; hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is bent.

The three kinds of bonds are: 1) IONIC 2) COVALENT 3) JAMES.

The third kind of bond, the expensive one to produce, is...the JAMES bond. Did you get it?

One of the Shakespeare plays that is particularly relevant, at least in TITLE, to the topic of measurements is "MEASURE FOR MEASURE"! Submit others.
