The Department of Modern Languages at Widener University offers a varied program of language, literary and cultural studies in French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.  The Department has several options for students who wish to study languages beyond the basic levels, including majors in French and Spanish, minors in French, German, Italian and Spanish, and teaching certificates in French, Spanish and Bilingual Education.

Our faculty are as diverse as our programs, and all professors have spent time living, studying and teaching overseas.  We offer our students the best possible education in language, literary and cultural studies.
