From egg to chrysalis
The eggs are bright green and about 1 mm in diameter.
After hatching they are about 2 mm long and are placed in chambers with
some food.
After a few weeks they can be 30 to 40 mm long.
They then attach to the paper on top of the chamber and form a chrysalis:
They are then placed in a special cage:
If one comes off the paper they can be placed in the bottom of a container
with some paper:
As long as the chrysalis has not been damaged the butterfly should
emerge from the back and crawl onto the paper to form its wings.
