Chemistry Department

Physical Chemistry Position Available


The chemistry department at Widener University is ACS certified. We currently have six tenure track lines (two in organic, two in analytical, one in physical chemistry and one in inorganic chemistry), one visiting faculty position, a laboratory director, a stockroom manager, and an instrument technician. In addition to these full time positions, the department includes several adjunct faculty, part time stockroom work, and student assistants to help with laboratory preparation. All courses, including laboratories, are taught by the faculty. Laboratory classes have a maximum enrollment of 16 students to increase student faculty interaction and ensure safety. In addition to chemistry majors, the department offers service courses for Nursing, Engineering and Science majors. Graduates of the department include physicians, research chemists, high school teachers, chemistry faculty, and chemical engineers.
