Geosciences
Engineering and environmental geology are applications of
scientific geology principles to assure the safety, efficiency, and economy of engineering
and environmental projects. This
laboratory educates students in applications of geoscience to the built
environment. Undergraduate students
acquire an important job skill by taking geology, engineering geology,
hydrology, and hydrologic modeling.
Research also includes the geophysical modeling of potential
fields. This laboratory works closely
with the GIS laboratory.
