Phi Kappa Phi NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP WINNER 2003-2004
MARY FONTANELLA
Senior biology major, is headed to Temple Univ. School of Medicine.
- Mary is Chapter 214’s first national fellowship winner!!
- This honor comes with $8000 that she can put toward her first year
of medical school.
- Mary is one of only 52 students to be recognized with this high honor
from PKP.
Phi Kappa Phi Undergraduate Scholarship Award 2003 Recipient
EMILY PIDDINGTON
Senior Science Administration major
- Includes among her many interests: biological research, student government,
the Honors Program, and Theatre Widener.
- She has served as the president of her freshman class, Beta Beta Beta,
Alpha Chi Omega, and Theatre Widener.
- Next year Emily will be attending the Drama Studio London.
- As they say in show biz, break a leg!
William R. F. Phillips Memorial Student Research Prize 2003 Recipient
BILL KERR
“A Descriptive Study of Eagles Fans: Demographics, Attitudes, Cognitions,
and Behaviors”
Bill, a management major concentrating in marketing, conducted this research
with Ursula LaBrusciano and Michele Miraglia
This study (in its 3rd year) has provided information for Eagles’ managers
to use in future marketing efforts and decisions on sponsorship
Research Advisor: Prof. Brian Larson
- Phi Kappa Phi Undergraduate
Scholarship Award - given annually to an outstanding undergraduate by Chapter
214 who is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, has a GPA of 3.7 or higher, and who
displays commitment.
- Phi Kappa Phi William R. Phillips Memorial Scholarship
Award - given to the undergraduate member who presents the best paper/poster/project
during Student Project Day.
- Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship - awarded by the National
Office to 52 outstanding graduating seniors nationwide. See the National
